What really can be said about Chanel? The logo is iconic, appealing to the patrons of high fashion, as well as sorority girls and mall rats(please excuse my tone...). It seems that Karl Lagerfeld is incapable of doing wrong. For Spring/Summer 2010, Karl went somewhere unexpected; the French countryside to be exact. It reminded me a bit of Marie Antoinette's country haunt, Petit Hameau, where she played faux peasant. The models were just that, in slightly roughed-up (but no doubt expensive) clothing with a country vibe. This wasn't your typical, wholesome group of country girls. In fact, they were a bit naughty. The models had hay in their hair and looked perfectly disheveled. The finale walk was excecuted by Lara Stone (in milkmaid attire), Freja Beha Erichsen, and Lagerfeld's muse Baptiste Giabiconi, who ended up rolling around in the hay. Lara and Freja kissed. It was magnificent. Freja has really impressed me this season and Baptiste is delicious-looking. They were oozing sex. Just saying. Lily Allen also performed "Not Fair", which doesn't spare any details about a untalented lover. Sex is here to stay... for a while. I love Karl.

The always outspoken queen of punk fashion showed an unsurprisingly political collection in Paris. Within the collection, t-shirts and runners tags boasted slogans fit for well-dressed environmentalists. The models' hair looked like wild flames. Viv even sported a similar look during her walk. Though she's dissed "Sex and the City: The Movie" and ruthlessly condemns anything she doesn't like, I adore and respect Westwood for not only being a fantastically talented designer, but also for always being unapologetically herself.

Stefano Pilati's collection for YSL this season was all about minimalism. Or so it seemed. Being a "more is more" type, I was more into his more complicated looks. Strawberry prints added a lightness to the collection that hasn't been present in quite a while. The clothes were beautiful, as expected, but the collection didn't really make all that much sense. Even so, I have confidence that Stefano will turn out another amazing collection for fall.

These men certainly know how to put on a show. Being the avant garde artists they are, they created a collection that dreams are made of. Tulle and ruffles were used in excess, creating some of the most incredble pieces these eyes have (n)ever seen. Apparently, they even used chainsaws to cut into the tulle on some of the later dresses. No words.
