I have always been mystified by the creations Riccardo Tisci has produced year after year. Couture seems to take it all to another level. Past couture seasons have been composed of things I could never even dream up.
Ana Carolina Reis for Fall Couture 2009
Karmen Pedaru for Spring Couture 2009
Riccardo described an erotic Parisienne of the seventies as the inspiration for this collection. It makes me think a bit about the Louis Vuitton fall collection, thought that was a erotic Parisienne in the eighties. There is also the lingerie aspect that has been so present in the past couple of seasons. Though I loved it, it did seem a bit all over the place. Riccardo offered up daring jumpsuits embellished head to toe next to relatively simple gowns. Brace yourself for these photos. The last dress is a KILLER.
