Flora has long been a point of inspiration for Spring fashion, though John Galiano's choice to ignore seasonal expectations should come to no surprise. The designer's presentation for Fall Couture was saturated with pieces that imitate flowers, celebrating nature's brilliance. Even the head wear, designed by milliner Stephen Jones, resembled florists' cellophane wrap. The extraordinary use of color and volume by Mr. Galiano was like a shot to the heart, penetrating deep, and leaving me in an indescribably awakened and euphoric state. I want to jump in a gigantic heap of kaleidoscopically-colored flowers. Dior is a drug.
