Jammie Style.

If anything, this post is a dedication to my dear friend, Gillian, who is a proponent of what she calls "jammie style." If it wasn't already evident, this would entail dressing in a way that is pointedly comfortable (and sleep-able), but has a definite styled aspect to it. I believe this picture was taken a few Sundays ago, when I was sick, feeling like shit, and dying for some soup. There was also the 24 pack of Popsicles that I consumed in a matter of days... After moping around for far too long, I decided to go to the grocery store. Already cozy in one of my favorite big sweaters, I threw on my (dare I say it?) chic sweat pants that I had yet to wear in public (and will be the only example I shall ever wear in public, unless another worthy example comes my way), wrapped my hair in a bun, and slid my turban-esque headband over my ears. Naturally, a trip to Trader Joe's in what could be pajamas required a bit of glamor, so I put on some heels. Since I have yet to overcome the embarrassment of photographing myself with a self-timer on my balcony—and harassing Alison gets old—my beautiful kitchen provides the backdrop.

Jeffrey Campbell wedge boots, ridiculous and non-intentional pout

I love you darling.
