Mark Fast's latest collection featured his trademark sexy knitwear alongside long fringe and transparent plastic paneling. The use of fringe made the collection seem more glamorous, while the plastic put it in sex shop territory (which isn't necessarily a bad thing in my mind). The designer pointedly included pops of bright color among his more usual neutrals, making the collection seem more traditionally Spring/Summer appropriate. I must say I loved the collection, but I worry that Fast relies too heavily on his cobweb style. The fashion world grows tired of repetition and if new ideas are not explored, this designer's career may be here and gone quite...fast.
