Louis Vuitton

Marc Jacobs' Fall/Winter 2009 collection was one of my favorite shows of all time. I wanted to go visit Paris in the Eighties to interact with all the women who were his inspirations. It was dreamy. It was beautiful. For Spring, Marc took it in a different direction. His girls were cartoonish Japanese street kids, sporting Afros and often clogs. Marc has always been one to recognize street culture as exciting and fun. This season, that was the focus, and that is what was achieved.
