Spring Couture 2010: Chanel

I am so far behind in my fashion coverage, but have no fear, I have returned with more. At Chanel, the story was not so clear. As it should be expected, there were plenty of suits, but several "unhear ofs" were seen in the show. Not only did Karl do suits with shorts, but he also created an entire collection for Chanel without black or navy. What he presented was a flurry of pretty, complete with pastels, heart-shaped hair, ruffles, and dreamy messes of fabric. Integrated within this though, was a futuristic element seen in metallics and such, but don't tell him that. In response to a similar suggestion, he replied "I hate that." But Karl...we love you.

Being a magpie, I was naturally seduced by the bits of sparkle. The gowns and dresses were absolutely gorgeous. Lara Stone had me gasping for air. It says a lot when I am drawn to stereotypical romanticism, but of course, this is Chanel.
