Another thought...

The prison scene could be a metaphor for the music business. As GaGa is escorted to her cell, someone warns her, "We gonna make you swim outta here in your own blood bitch." Inmates also tell her she is nothing and she isn't going to make it, which reminds me of interviews in which she talked about those who doubted her ability. Women turn against each other for no apparent reason, as encouraged by tabloids describing cat-fighting and such. But then again, she leaves and I don't think she has any intention on leaving the business anytime soon... Maybe it's a way of saying she is outside of the "business" though. She doesn't want to take part in any of the bullshit.
